My Random Thoughts

Dreams are weird when you think about them.  Like when you go to sleep your brain makes a movie in your head.  And that can run the gammet of fun, scary, or weird.  To be honest, 90 percent of the dreams I can remember run into the weird category.  Like I had a dream one time, me and my best friend were on a road trip to Las Vegas to pick up Medicine for my grandpa.  Why we were picking it up all the way in Las Vegas I'll never know, but there we are.  For some reason, I constantly have this dream I'm back in high school, but not at that age, no.  I'm the age I am now, (39 if you're curious) but I'm back in my shitty high school as if I never left.  Those dreams get annoying.  Another set of annoying dreams I use to have is when I use to work fast food.  I'd spend all damn day at work, come home, and dream I was at work again.  Then I'd get confused when I woke up.  I think the scariest dream I ever had at least that I can reme...

So I don't know what many people would consider "going back to normal" after this long pandemic we've had, but for me, it's being able to have conventions again.  Oh my god, I am ready to go back to conventions, and it looks like I'm getting my wish as Saboten Con is on for Labor day weekend!  Saboten is the Japanese word for cactus, which is perfectly fitting for an anime convention in Arizona.  It's a smaller convention than for example Phoenix Fan Fusion, which got moved to January of next year, but it's something.  I am so excited about this that I've got a bundle of energy just thinking about it.  Seeing if I can get friends to go, debating getting a hotel room,  There's a Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model kit) contest that I'm thinking of entering, though not with a Gundam, but a Frame Arms Girl instead, because that's more my jam.  But just the idea that we can have conventions again, excites me more than anything.
