Time to Revive This

Hello everyone, welcome to the resurrection of my blog, this seems a good time for that.  Dust off the old writing thing as it were.  Since I haven't done this for a while, let's start with a reintroduction.  I'm Tim, I live some where in the Southwest of the United States.  I have a lot of interests from Anime, Video Games, Books and more.  I'm going to try and avoid discussing politics or culture war stuff in this blog, but I apologize if it occasionally slips in.  These days it seems everything  becomes entangled in that kind of stuff, but if anyone asks a question, I will answer it honestly.  Anyways I'll be adding more posts soon, Just wanted to get this started again

Summer Anime and more

So It's been just a bit of time, and I haven't made much progress on my other projects, mostly just in the planning phases right now, but I want a bit more to do, or something else to occupy my mind a bit, so I figure I'm going to try and write some reviews.  It can be books, games, movies or anime, just what ever I feel like.  And we're getting right into the time where I will have the perfect opportunity to start, as we're approaching the 2022 summer anime season, which starts some time in July.  So first, let's look at what shows have so far got my interest.  I'm getting my list from https://myanimelist.net/anime/season First a couple of returning shows, we have season 2 of "The Devil is a Part Timer" and season 4 of "Overlord".  Both really great shows, I'm surprised to see a second season for Devil, mostly because the first season aired all the way back in 2013.  Though they have plenty of material, the light novel just recently...

Plans

Ok, so here we are, early June 2022. I just recently finished with Phoenix Fan Fusion 2022, and it has got me pumped up like I haven't felt in a LONG time. I ran in to people who I haven't seen in ages, that even though I don't know very well, I'm glad to see they're doing well, like Author Brandon Varnell, Most everyone in the Blue Ribbon Army, and more. I still did not meet out glorious leader Matt Hinds, but I just chalk that up to It's impossible to do everything you want to at a convention, and there's always next year. And in fact, speaking of next year, I have several goals in mind that I want to have made some serious progress on by the time Fan Fusion rolls around in 2023. Now most of the times I only ever post my goals around New Years on my facebook page, but again, I'm so damn energized by having gone to Fan Fusion, that my mind is abuzz with ideas I would like to accomplish. Some are Specific to Fan Fusion, others are just things I want to ...

The Road to Fan Fusion

Image
So I haven't written much yet, other than that post to restart my blog, and part of that is because we are so close to Phoenix Fan Fusion, or as most of us here still call it, Phoenix Comicon.  And we will continue to do so no matter what San Diego says.  Yes, for those that don't know, who ever runs Comic Con in the city of San Diego pulled the trade mark on the phrase "Comic Con" in any way shape or form.  If I ever become popular enough to sell my own t-shirts like other you tubers, one of them is going to read "Fuck You San Diego" and I will never have anything nice to say about the city. I hold a grudge. But Yes, the last time I was able to was 2019, because 2020 happened, and happened so hard that it continued for an extra year, thus we're finally able to have it again.  And we lost a day, it use to be Thursday through Sunday, now it's only Friday-Sunday.  I hope in years to follow, we get that Thursday back.  I could post a bunch of photos of...

Let's try this again

Ok, so it's been a LONG time since I wrote one of these, I kind of got.....not busy per say, but distracted, that might be a good word for it.  And lets be honest, as things went on last year, everyone got distracted, barely hanging on to there sanity. And some people did not hang on.  But I feel like trying to give this another go. So once again, this blog is just going to be my random thoughts on any thing that comes to mind, how ever, I do plan on starting a second blog where I will be reviewing Mostly Japanese Anime and live action shows, but I might sprinkle in some American stuff to, After all, I've grown up on and still watch a lot of American TV, especially older shows like M*A*S*H.  So Here goes Round 2, I hope you will join me.

Star Trek Prodigy....I have no idea

So I haven't really written in a while, I havent had much to really talk about. I was going to start working on a project, and I'm still working on it, but I figure this will be a good jumping off for it. I'm going to try writing reviews of shows I watch. It could be old shows, new shows, a lot of it will be anime or tokusatsu related as I really enjoy those, but anyways. Star Trek. Star Trek is a franchise I love a lot. I grew up in the era of the Next Generation, I've seen all the old movies, the origional series, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, the new movies, and some of the newer stuff. And I haven't been the biggest fan of some of the newer stuff. Star Trek Discovery I am not a big fan of. I'm not going to be one of those who complain about it being “too political” or “sjw” as others will have said, because yes, Star Trek has always been political, and yes, it has always tackled social issues, all though I will say I think they handled that kind of thing better ...

Dreams

Dreams are weird when you think about them.  Like when you go to sleep your brain makes a movie in your head.  And that can run the gammet of fun, scary, or weird.  To be honest, 90 percent of the dreams I can remember run into the weird category.  Like I had a dream one time, me and my best friend were on a road trip to Las Vegas to pick up Medicine for my grandpa.  Why we were picking it up all the way in Las Vegas I'll never know, but there we are.  For some reason, I constantly have this dream I'm back in high school, but not at that age, no.  I'm the age I am now, (39 if you're curious) but I'm back in my shitty high school as if I never left.  Those dreams get annoying.  Another set of annoying dreams I use to have is when I use to work fast food.  I'd spend all damn day at work, come home, and dream I was at work again.  Then I'd get confused when I woke up.  I think the scariest dream I ever had at least that I can reme...
